Harbrook & Vale

An independent agency for Surrey and south-west London

Harbrook & Vale works the way a small agency should: a short list of instructions, named people and no call centre.

Our story

The agency began as a single desk on Guildford High Street, with one rule: whoever takes the instruction stays with it until the keys change hands. A second office followed in Cranleigh, then two more in south-west London, in Clapham and Putney, for the streets along the river and out to Wimbledon, and the rule came with every one of them.

We are small on purpose. Fewer instructions means every seller gets a proper valuation, particulars that are checked before they are published, and a weekly update whether or not there is news. It also means the person who walked round your home is the person who answers when you ring.

We sell and let homes across Surrey and south-west London, from Guildford and the villages around it to Clapham, Brixton, Putney and Wimbledon, and we are as happy to talk a first-time buyer through a flat near the station as to value a family house on a Wandsworth terrace or a cottage in Shalford.

How we work

One named contact
Every instruction has one person responsible for it. Their direct line is on everything we send you.
Valuations we can defend
We show you the sold prices and the live competition behind a guide price, and we say so when the number is lower than you hoped.
Particulars that are right
Room sizes, tenure and council tax band are checked before a listing goes live, so a buyer is never surprised at the second viewing.
A weekly update
Every Friday you hear how many people viewed, what they said and what happens next, even if the answer is nothing yet.
